NYS 4-H Shooting Sports

Overview:

The Delaware County 4-H Shooting Sports program offers several disciplines, in which youth can learn marksmanship, sportsmanship, the safe and responsible use of firearms, the principles of hunting and archery, and much more. The activities of the program and the support of caring adult leaders provide young people with opportunities to develop life skills, self-worth, and conservation ethics.

Shooting sports can be gratifying as an independent, life-long recreation hobby. The program provides a supportive environment in which young people can experience hands-on, fun learning experiences.

All 4-Hers interested in participating in this program will be required to attend the mandatory safety meeting for the discipline(s) they want to join. Information on meeting dates/locations, as well as other information for each discipline, will be available below once scheduled.

The 4-H Shooting Sports program is new to Delaware County. We plan to build and expand the disciplines offered in the coming years.
