The SNAP-Ed Program is FREE to all SNAP and SNAP eligible individuals.
PROGRAM TEACHES WAYS TO:
- Eat more fruits and vegetables
- Eat more whole grain foods
- Drink fewer sweetened beverages
- Drink more low-fat milk
- Exercise every day
- Maintain calorie balance
- Make healthy food choices each day
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
If you currently receive SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits or are considered SNAP eligible, you can participate in this free program!
YOU WILL LEARN TO:
- Prepare easy, low-cost nutritious meals in minutes.
- Spend less time at the grocery store and buy healthy food with your money and SNAP benefits.
- Make healthy meals and snacks that children will love.
- Plan meals, store and prepare food safely, and prepare foods using less salt, sugar, and fat.
- Better understand food labels.
- Add easy ways to be more active ach day.
- Make small healthy lifestyle changes to Feel Better and Do Better!
CLASSES ARE HELD AT CONVENIENT TIMES AND LOCATIONS!
Join us for a single session or for a series of 4-6 classes.
