TRACTOR & MACHINERY OPERATORS CERTIFICATION
By federal law, no person under 16 years of age may operate a farm tractor or farm machinery on a farm owned by anyone other than the person’s parents. The Tractor & Machinery Operator’s Certification Course allows exemption from this law for 14 and 15 year olds. Cornell Cooperative Extension of Delaware County 4-H Program will be sponsoring the course which will be taught by Larry Burgin, a Delhi farmer. This course will cover safe operation and routine maintenance of farm tractors. For more information call the 4-H office at 607-865-6531.
