DEC Camp
The Department of Environmental Conservation operates two camps (Camp Colby and Pack Forest) in the Adirondack mountains, to teach youth about conservation. Delaware County 4-H will sponsor two 4-H member ages 12 to 17. Please contact the 4-H office for more information on how you can qualify to attend.
Delaware County 4-H will be sponsoring two 4-H members, ages 12 to 17 to attend one of two Department of Conservation camps in the Adirondacks. Camp costs approximately $325, but money is available through the Carley Memorial Fund. You must provide your own transportation to and from camp, and do two of the following requirements when you return: a write-up for Extension Connection; enter a poster or give a presentation at county fair; or any other project or presentation of your choice. Contact the 4-H office for an application.
If you have already attended DEC Camp through this program, you are not eligible for sponsorship through Delaware County 4-H again.
