ATTENTION 4-H DAIRY CATTLE EXHIBITORS - BVD/PI TEST REQUIRED
BVD/PI TEST REQUIRED PRIOR TO COUNTY FAIR
1. All 4-H dairy cattle must be owned and completely registered by June 1. No pending registrations will be permitted.
2. All 4-H dairy cattle will have their registration papers checked by the Dairy Advisory Committee on Monday of fair week.
3. All cattle must have a BVD/PI ear notch test prior to fair.
4. Official breed tags must be visible and unaltered.
5. No coaching of exhibitors will be allowed from outside of the show ring.

POULTRY PULLORUM TESTING FOR FAIR
PLEASE NOTE: Mark this date on your calendar. No other notice will be mailed out. If your poultry project does not have a Pullorum Test done, you will not be able to exhibit your bird(s) at the fair. Date: Wednesday, June 29. Place: 4-H Camp Shankitunk, Delhi Time: 12:00 (noon)-1:30 p.m. Birds must be at least 4 months (16 weeks) old. Waterfowl and Pigeons not included. You may bring up to 15-20 birds per family. If you have more than 20 birds, please call 518-457-5558 to schedule a complete flock test. A Pullorum Test is good for 90 days. Plan ahead so you won’t be left out at the fair!!!
MANDATORY PROCEDURES FOR AUCTION ANIMALS AT COUNTY FAIR
On Saturday, June 4 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. OR Sunday, June 5, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 (noon) all sheep, swine, and meat goat market animal exhibitors will be required to bring their auction animal(s) to the Delaware County Fairgrounds to be tagged, registered for the auction and weighed.
Please note the following:
1. The deadline to register your sheep, swine, or meat goat for the auction is June 5.
2. You should bring with you, a Bill of Sale that would indicate date of birth, date of purchase, and cost of the animal. If the animal is bred and owned by the exhibitor, then you should be able to provide the date of birth and value.
3. You should bring with you any veterinarian records for your animal.
4. You should bring with you your Project Record. If you have any questions about how to fill one out, help will be available at the weigh-in in June. Additional copies are available on the CCE web site or by calling the 4-H office.
Please note that participation in this event on either June 4 or 5 is mandatory if you want to sell your animal at the auction.
